Family BBQ, Fireworks and Concerts Headline 4th of July Weekend at Waterville Valley

WATERVILLE VALLEY, New Hampshire — With 23,000 acres of the National Forest as a backyard, Waterville Valley is top on the list of mountain resorts to visit over the 4th of July weekend. In addition to miles of hiking trails and cool mountain streams, the resort provides a full lineup of activities to keep everyone in the family happy. The 4th of July weekend kicks off on June 30 with Family Play Day at Packard??в„ўs Field sponsored by the Waterville Valley Recreation Department. From 12-4, there??в„ўs a Fireman??в„ўs BBQ, family field games, speed pitch, face painting and an outdoor concert by the Hot Tamales. Guests can also enjoy two more outdoor concerts over the weekend at 6:00 pm at Town Square:

Saturday, June 30 – Hey Buddy
Wednesday, July 4 – Hot Tamales

Tuesday, July 3 at 4 pm, Shakespeare in the Valley performs Sugarcoated Shakespeare, a special interactive family matinee. On Wednesday, the 4th, The North Country Center for the Arts presents Beauty and the Beast at 1:30 pm in Town Square. The annual 4th of July parade starts at 3 pm followed by the Hot Tamales in concert and a fireworks display over Corcoran’s Pond at 9:30 pm

Waterville Valley Town Square hosts events and concerts all summer including an Open Air Market on Saturday mornings, Squam Lake Science Center Animal Shows on Sundays, Children’s Theatre on Wednesdays, classical music performances, open mic nights and more. Coming up July 7 & 8 is Winter Carnival Weekend with winter themed activities. Saturday, July 21, contemporary bluegrass comes to the valley for the 2nd Annual Bluegrass Festival featuring four bands, kids games and fireworks.
