BENNINGTON, NH ??” Crotched Mountain, New England’s new ski area, is giving away 2,500 or more free lift tickets at the mountain on Sunday.

Patrons arriving for the day will be given a free full-day lift ticket, valid for Sunday. The lift ticket can also be saved for $5 off a future visit to the mountain. Rentals and lessons are available for purchase.

“We suddenly had this crazy idea of having a day just to show off the mountain,” said Felix Kagi, Crotched’s General Manager. “Everyone here knows already that the snow is superb, but this will be a good way for people to come here and see what this ski area is all about.”

Mountain operations anticipate at least 90% of the ski area to be open this weekend with all lifts turning. Snowmaking crews have been busy cranking out several feet of good quality man-made powder.

“We’re trying to be the first in New England with 100% terrain open,” said Jeremy Bouchard, Mountain Operations Manager. “There’s a very good chance that we’ll do it, just because of our snowmaking power.”

When Crotched Mountain was built last year, nearly half of the $10 million investment went directly into the snowmaking system. The result is a state-of-the-art, 100% coverage fan-gun system, boasting the highest production capacity in New England. Fan-gun technology is known for it’s production of high quality, natural-like powder snow.

“I think that when people get here on Sunday, they’ll all be surprised at how good the snow really is,” Kagi continued. “We’ll get everyone hooked on Crotched.”

Crotched Mountain is the latest addition to the Peak Resorts family. The ski area features 5 news lifts, a new 40,000 sq. foot base lodge with caf?В© and pizzeria, high-performance rentals, state-of-the-art snowmaking, and more. Crotched mountain is a quick 35 minute ride from Manchester, NH.
