GILFORD, New Hampshire — Parents of freestyle skiers and snowboarders create a new club at Gunstock Mountain Resort. The Gunstock Freestyle Academy (a new independent organization) will hold an informational meeting at Gunstock on Saturday November 3, 2007 at 10AM in the Stockade Lodge.

The Gunstock Freestyle Academy will provide a season long training program for freestyle skiers and riders. Training will take place every weekend and during school vacations beginning in early December.

Board member Jake Jacobsen says, ???We intend to offer freestyle skiers and riders a chance to session Blundersmoke Park with friends, improve their skills, learn new tricks, and prepare for competitions in a safe and fun environment.???

Working toward non-profit status, this organization is seeking members ages 9 ??“ 18. Membership fee is $475 ($75 deposit due with registration, balance due December 1, 2007). The Gunstock freestyle Academy ( www.gunstockfreestyle.com ) web site will be available shortly.
