HUNTER, New York ??” Hunter Mountain is proud to host the Chevrolet Alpine Super Series – Men’s Nor-Am Cup USA, one of the most prestigious and important Alpine race series in North America. The Chevrolet Super Series is the U.S. portion of the Nor-Am Cup, sanctioned as the Continental Cup by the U.S. Ski Association (USSA). This event brings the very best male racers to Hunter Mountain, all competing for a spot at the World Cup and the 2006 Winter Olympics.

The Super Series was introduced during the 1998-99 season to upgrade the fledgling NorAm Cup, and after exceeding its athletic goals, has become established as an elite domestic alpine series. As a parallel to the Europa Cup, this series has proven to be an excellent training and testing ground for both top national athletes and developing U.S. and Canadian regional leaders.

January 2-5 at Hunter will be one of the last chances for racers to qualify for the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Torino, Italy to take place in February. With hopes running high and adrenaline pumping, the racers will push for the finish line and a chance to win the gold for the Men’s US Olympic Ski Team!
