HUNTER, New York — Hunter Mountain’s resort-operated retail shop has successfully launched its online storefront. At the current time, the storefront will feature skis, often complete with bindings, with snowboards and other equipment available for purchase in the future.

2006-07 equipment includes manufacturers such as Salomon and Atomic; 2005-06 models will also be available at discounted prices. All equipment, previous or current year, will be sold at a sale price. Retail staff members at the resort are excited to be able to offer equipment in this way, accessible directly from the customer’s desktop.

Director of Marketing Rob Megnin commented: “As part of this new service, guests will be encouraged to call the shop to ask for specific technical details regarding the equipment. There is a special sale section where previous year’s equipment is listed and offers very significant values. Clients are asked to navigate to ‘great prices on last year’s models.’

Furthermore, Hunter Mountain’s retail shop is looking forward to extending its excellent retail reputation to the Internet.”
Irwin Mallory, Hunter’s Director of Retail, also suggested: “This is a way to extend our retail brand worldwide, we have many clients who visit us from all over the world, as our proximity to the metro area allows us to reach globally. Now we have the ability to reach them via the Internet.”

Access to the e-store is through Hunter Mountain’s front page, Huntermtn.com, via the eSki button under “Ski Equipment”.
