KILLINGTON, Vermont ??” Killington Resort will host the first ever K05 Summit to feature numerous events and activities throughout the weekend of December 3 – December 4.

The Rails to Riches Jam will take place on Saturday December 3 and many of the top skiers and riders in the East are expected to participate in the open jam format. This year’s Rails to Riches Jam offers a $15, 000 total prize purse. There will be a bonfire at the base of the rails for the spectators to enjoy and a fireworks display set to go off, as the winners are being crowned Saturday night. The finals will begin at 5:00 p.m. with fireworks slated to begin at 6:15 p.m.

Party at the Peak will take place from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. Saturday night at the Peak Restaurant. The K-1 Gondola will be transporting partygoers up and down the mountain at $10 per passenger. Included in the $10 ticket is a beverage (beer, wine or soda), a free screening of “The Community Project,” (set to start at 7:30 p.m.), cash bar and a DJ.

Other K05 Summit events will feature live music and DJs performing throughout the weekend, prize giveaways at the K-1 Gondola and a BBQ and bar on the K-1 deck. There will be special rates on group ski and ride lessons for the weekend and a large demo tent village for people to check out.

“The K05 Summit promises a festive atmosphere on the mountain,” said Josh Arneson, events manager for Killington Resort “The weekend is going to feature a range of activities from a very competitive Rail Jam to live music and BBQ on the K-1 deck. So everyone should be able to have a good time.
