LINCOLN, New Hampshire ??” Loon Mountain celebrates summer with an entire weekend tribute to a summertime dessert favorite, July 2 and 3. Loon keeps kids giggling and jiggling all weekend long with its annual Gelatin Jam. Kids eat it, dive in it and propel it through the air with a giant gelatin slingshot. Games and activities offered throughout both days reward participants with prizes, and kids can chill out with Loon’s infamous slip n’ slide water ride.

Each messy day featuring everyone’s summertime dessert favorite – flavored gelatin – will start at 10:30 a.m. and include complimentary face painting, slip n’ slide, gelatin relay races and a gelatin slingshot competition. Pony rides will also be available for $5 per ride.

A scenic ride on Loon’s Gondola Skyride will take families to more gelatin fun at the summit. Starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday, a gelatin toss for 8- to 13-year olds will allow teams of three to test their skills at getting the most gelatin in a target within a time limit. Gelatin fame and glory goes to the winners … plus some great prizes. At 1 p.m. on Sunday, the summit of Loon Mountain is the site for a gelatin pie-eating contest for 8- to 13-year olds. To the victors go the giggles.

The ultimate Loon Mountain experience is to board the four-person Gondola Skyride for the half-hour round trip excursion to the summit. The ride to the peak of Loon Mountain affords spectacular panoramic views of the White Mountains while seated in fully-enclosed comfort. At the summit, guests can explore glacial caves, embark on a nature trail, climb the four-story observation tower or even enjoy a delicious Jamaican-style lunch on the deck of the Summit Caf?В©. Gondola tickets are $10.50 for adults and $6.50 for children and provide unlimited rides to the summit on the day of purchase.
