LINCOLN, New Hampshire — Loon Mountain enhances New England skiing and snowboarding with its long-awaited South Peak expansion debut, set for this December.

Over $10 million is being invested this summer in a brand-new, high-speed quad chairlift and a connector quad chair, linking South Peak to Loon’s existing lift and trail network, and serving skiers and snowboarders nearly 50 acres of new intermediate and advanced terrain. These new lifts and terrain represent only 35% of the total planned on-mountain expansion at completion.

Avid skiers, riders and White Mountain enthusiasts can follow the progress of the project through the summer on Loon Mountain’s South Peak Updates.

Centex Destination Properties, one of the nation’s premier developers of resort and second home communities, is working with Loon and developing nearly 400 acres of prime real estate between the mountain and the Pemigewasset River. South Peak Resort on Loon Mountain will be a four-season mountain destination including private ski-in/ski-out and riverside custom homes and condominiums with premium amenities, such as indoor/outdoor pool pavilion, hot tubs, massage studio , fitness center, theater room, dining facility, skier services, hiking and biking trails, and more.
