Lincoln, NH, April 1, 2012 -Loon Mountain is offering specially-priced $49 one-day lift tickets to anyone who presents their 2011-2012 season pass from any other resort or ski area for the remainder of this season.

Loon made snow earlier this week to freshen up the conditions and carry the season into April. This is the latest the Resort has made snow, demonstrating its commitment to provide a great product into April during a season when many other resorts have been forced to close early.

“The amount of terrain we have to offer right now illustrates our team’s ability to make and manage snow and our commitment to providing superior snow for our guests,” said Molly Mahar, Loon’s vice president of marketing. “By extending a special lift ticket rate to season pass holders from other areas, we hope to help them to extend their season.”

In the past two years, Loon has added 600 highly-efficient Low-E HKD tower snow guns to its arsenal, to more than double overall snow production and maximize snow output at a wider range of temperatures. For skiers and riders, this means more terrain open earlier and later in the season, plus more snow and better conditions throughout the season. Loon has the largest installation of these state-of-the-art, highly-efficient snowmaking guns in North America.

2012/13 New England Passes are on sale now and offer access to Loon Mountain, Sunday River, and Sugarloaf-a combined trail count of 345 trails and over 2,000 acres of skiable terrain. These three resorts are offering more than 60% of the total terrain currently open in New England. Pass prices start at $379 with the lowest rates and payment plan available through April 30. 2012/13 passes that are purchased in full during this spring sale may be used for the rest of this season. Loon plans to remain open through April 10.
