WEST DOVER, Vermont — Mount Snow announced today that it will re-open for skiing and snowboarding on Saturday, April 14 and Sunday April 15 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern time.

“The current weather forecasts look favorable, and we think we still have a good product for people to enjoy a bonus day or two on the slopes,” says Kelly Pawlak, managing director at Mount Snow, adding that guests should check the snow report page on www.mountsnow.com for updates as the week progresses.

Reduced lift ticket prices will be offered each day. Full day adult (ages 19-64) lift tickets will be $49, young adults ( ages 13-18 ) $45 and tickets for juniors and seniors (ages 6-12 or 65 and over) will be $39; afternoon tickets will cost $39 for adults, $35 for young adults and $25 for juniors and seniors.

Season passholders will be able to bring a friend for the price of $29. Passholders must come to the ticket window with their friend and their valid season pass.

With a Nor’easter in the forecast on Thursday, Pawlak says it will be difficult to predict how much terrain will be open. As of April 7, 2007, Mount Snow had 59 trails open with average base depths around 24 inches.

Two lifts will be open, according to Pawlak: the Grand Summit Express (#11) on the Main Face and the Challenger triple (#18) on the North Face. Open terrain is recommended for skiers and snowboarders of intermediate or advanced skill levels. Only limited facilities and services will be available in the base area.

Season passes for Winter 2007-08 will be on sale in the Clocktower. The Nor’easter pass offers unrestricted access to all of Peak Resorts northeastern ski areas: Mount Snow in Vermont, Attitash and Crotched in New Hampshire, and Jack Frost/Big Boulder in Pennsylvania. Pricing for the Nor’easter pass is just $749 through June 1, 2007.

Two Mount Snow-only seasons passes are also being offered in 2007-08. The Mount Snow Classic pass is valid seven days a week, except blackout periods, and is available for $399 through June 1, 2007. The Mount Snow Midweek pass is valid Monday through Friday, except blackout periods, and costs $299 through June 1, 2007.
