MOUNT SNOW, Vermont — Cameras will be rolling during two of Mount Snow’s most popular annual events — the Sink or Skim competition and the Dummy Downhill – both of which take place during the Bud Light ReggaeFest Weekend at Mount Snow, March 24-25.

Bud TV, the online entertainment network recently launched by Anheuser Busch, will be filming both events to be broadcast at a later date, according to Mount Snow Events Director, Greg Fisher.

“Sink or Skim and the Dummy Downhill are exactly the type of programming Bud TV is looking for,” says Fisher. “They’re fun, colorful events that already have a popular following on video uploading Web sites.”

Now in its fifth year, the Sink or Skim competition on Saturday, March 24 has skiers and snowboarders attempting to get enough to speed to skim across a 100-foot pond at the base of the Standard trail. Each competitor is required to wear a costume.

The Dummy Downhill, held on Sunday, March 25, is a big air competition featuring custom-built dummies. Entries are judged on creativity, performance, and if they stay in one piece. (Explosives are not permitted.)

Registration information and times for each event can be found at www.mountsnow.com/calendar.html.

Other activities during the Bud Light ReggaeFest weekend include live music at the Snow Barn both Friday and Saturday nights, as well as bands on the deck at Cuzzin’s Bar in the Main Base Lodge.

Weekend packages start at just $123 per person and include two nights lodging (Friday and Saturday), a two-day lift ticket (Saturday and Sunday), and Saturday night admission to the Snow Barn. Friday night at the Snow Barn can be added for an additional $5.

Reservations and more information are available by calling 800-245-SNOW or visiting www.mountsnow.com.
