NORTH CONWAY, New Hampshire — Cranmore Mountain in North Conway, NH celebrates Halloween every weekend in October with its new Ghoullog attraction, where visitors board the quad chairlift for a night-time ride to the summit for a haunted mountain-top tour.

When the nights lengthen and the trees begin to turn, it is the time of year when the spirits rise and roam the grounds of Cranmore. Daring visitors are invited to walk the grounds and take the chairlift to the summit to see tortured souls, knowing they are protected by the guards of the Ghoullog.

The tour starts in the Eating House building at the base of Cranmore Mountain and includes a night-time stroll through a haunted walkway to the Quad. After the 7-minute ride to the 2,000 foot summit of Cranmore, visitors tour the Ghoullog, where haunted happenings are sure to frighten and surprise the hardiest souls.

While at the summit, spectacular night-time views of North Conway Village below are sure to delight all comers. At the end of the tour, visitors enjoy a ride down the Quad to the base.

Running Friday and Saturday nights starting October 5 through October 27, plus Sunday October 7 (Columbus Day weekend), the Ghoullog opens its gates at 6:30pm with tickets available from 7-10pm. Tickets are $20. The attraction is recommended for ages 10 and up and parental discretion is advised. Tickets can be reserved online at Cranmore.com or by calling the resort at 603-356-8561. Only a limited number of tickets are sold each night so visitors are advised to reserve theirs in advance.

The Ghoullog is a joint production of Cranmore Mountain and Death Becomes You Productions. Death Becomes You Productions previously produced last fall’s spooky tour off Carter Notch Road in Jackson, NH. That proved so popular that they paired with Cranmore this year to expand the event to more weekends, closer to town, with the added excitement of a night-time chairlift ride to the activities.

“We’re building on the success of last year’s ghoul-fest in Jackson, NH,” stated Death Becomes You owner, Lance Davis, “We are bringing back some of the more popular props and haunts from last year and also building and adding new ones. This event may be too intense for the very young or those who have a weak spine. If you’re looking to be scared silly, Cranmore is the place to be this October.”

Cranmore’s ghoul-fest will offer refreshments in Zip’s Pub, rechristened as the “Boobonic Pub” for the event. Additionally, Cranmore will offer a Children’s Halloween Party, a perfect supervised activity for those 4 – 9 years old. “Cranmore is known for its children’s programs. We wanted to provide a fun, safe activity for kids, so that older family members can take in the scarier scene at the summit,” stated Ben Wilcox, Cranmore General Manager.

Kids are invited to wear their Halloween costumes to the Party and enjoy games, craft activities and non-scary movies and cartoons. The Halloween Party costs $5 per child and takes place on the same dates as the Ghoullog from 7pm to 9pm.

The Ghoullog activities take place both indoors and outdoors at Cranmore Mountain. Visitors are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather and the chairlift ride. Operations are weather dependent so call ahead or visit their website to confirm hours.

Cranmore Mountain is located in North Conway, NH. Tickets and information can be obtained by calling 603-356-5544 or online at www.cranmore.com.
