NEWRY, Maine — Two highly popular bands from “Jack’s Big Music Show” from Nickelodeon’s NOGGIN channel are on their way to Sunday River to perform as part of three Nickelodeon and Sunday River Kids’ Snow Weeks and Weekends. These event filled weeks combine family entertainment, special deals on lodging, skiing, learning, and rentals plus visits by SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora The Explorer costume characters.

“Our focus on families continues to grow,” said Jim Costello, vice president of Brand Management. “Last season we had one wildly successful Children’s Festival week and this year we’re going looking forward to two Nickelodeon Kids’ Snow Weeks plus a Weekend. A quality family vacation experience is about more than the snow, which will be plentiful, but also about keeping the kids entertained and the parents relaxed.”

The Dirty Sock Funtime Band will hit the stage on Jan. 10 during Kids Ski Free Week and then again on Feb. 27 during Winter Week. Hot Peas ???n’ Butter will grace the stage at Sunday River on April 7 during Kids Snow Festival. Additional family activities during Kids Snow Weeks include juggling workshops, torchlight parades, bounce houses, obstacle races, fireworks and more. A complete list of event dates and deals is available at www.sundayriver.com/kids.

The American Skiing Company (ASC) family of resorts has teamed up with Nickelodeon to introduce SpongeBob SquarePants skis and snowboards and Dora the Explorer skis, as well as helmets and winter accessories. These exclusive branded products from Rossignol, Giro, Chaos and Gordini will be available only at ASC resorts.

Family Winter Festivals, presented by Nickelodeon, will take place at all seven ASC resorts this season and will be packed with activities and games for the whole family, including costume character appearances by SpongeBob and Dora, live bands that have appeared on NOGGIN’s hit series “Jack’s Big Music Show” and special Learn-to-Ski/Ride Programs from ASC’s award-winning Perfect Turn Ski and Snowboard Schools.

“SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer skis and snowboards are sure to be a winter hit with kids and families as they head outdoors for seasonal sports and activities,” said Hal Snik, Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products’ vice president of apparel, accessories & home goods.
