Okemo Gears Up for the Christmas Holiday with Event Line-up

LUDLOW, VT ??” Skiing and riding terrain is now open on all five-mountain areas at Okemo Mountain Resort, including the new Jackson Gore Peak and base area. Also for the Christmas Holiday week, the SoBe Super Pipe is scheduled to open, along with The Dew Zone and Nor’Easter Terrain Park. With snowmaking and grooming operations running non-stop at every opportunity, 90+ trails and all 18 lifts are expected.

In addition to great skiing and riding, an exciting line-up of special events is scheduled throughout the holiday week.

Christmas Holiday Event Line-Up

Sat, Dec 25: Christmas Day Lift Operations. Please note that lifts will open at 9:00 am on Christmas Day.
Sat, Dec. 25: Christmas Day Feast at Coleman Brook Tavern and a dinner buffet Willie Dunn??в„ўs Grille from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Sun, Dec 26: Okemo Village Shuttle Buses begin running for the season. The Okemo Village Shuttle System makes frequent stops at convenient locations throughout the Ludlow/Proctorsville region and runs Saturday and Sunday and during holiday weeks.
Tues, Dec 28 to Thurs, Dec 30: Chevy “American Revolution” Days. Come out on and get a tour of Chevy??в„ўs new line up SUVs, complete with giveaways and live music. Located in the Okemo Base Area.
Tues, Dec. 28: Torchlight Parade & Fireworks Display. Begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Okemo Base Area. Watch the torchlight parade of Okemo employees ski/snowboard down the mountain followed by a spectacular fireworks display.
Tues, Dec. 28: Vermont Pure Spring Water Snowshoe Tour co-sponsored by Atlas Snowshoes. Tours depart the Okemo Base Area at 7:00 pm and head up the Bull Run trail for a bird??в„ўs-eye view of the fireworks.
Wed, Dec 29: J-3, 4 & 5 End of Year Open Race. Starts at 9:30 am.
Wed, Dec. 29: Okemo Series Super Pipe Event. Competition is open to skiers and snowboarders of all ages. Registration will be from 8 am to 9 am on the Mezzanine level of the Base Lodge. The event starts at 10 am in the SoBe Super Pipe. Entry fee is $20.
Thurs, Dec 30: Labatts Apr??s Ski Party at VT Pizza Co (located at Jackson Gore) from 3-6pm.
Thurs, Dec 30: J1/2VC/Slalom Race on the Wardance trail. Competition starts at 9:30 am. Register inside the Base Lodge from 7 am to 8:30 am.
Thurs, Dec 30: Family Presentation featuring the Vermont Institute of Natural Science??в„ўs “The Bear Facts”. This special program will delve into the life of Vermont??в„ўs largest predator. “The Bear Facts” is a free event open to all guests in the Roundhouse at Jackson Gore starting at 7:30 pm
