LUDLOW, Vermont ??” Everyone remembers that classic back-to-school assignment – where the teacher asks students to write an essay about what they did during the summer. This winter, as skiers and riders return to Okemo Mountain Resort for the start of the season, they’re being asked to show what months of “dry land” training have done for them. The “What I Learned This Summer Rail Jam” is scheduled for Saturday, November 26. Open to skiers and snowboarders of all ages, this friendly competition will offer some brand new rails for participants to showcase their new tricks with steez.

Registration will take place from 8 to 10 a.m. in the Okemo base lodge mezzanine and requires a $15 entry fee. The competition is scheduled for 1 p.m. and prizes will be awarded to the top contenders. For more information, please contact Matt Lillard at 802-228-1796 or e-mail mlillard@okemo.com.

The good times continue at Okemo as the day winds down and even after the lifts stop turning. On November 26, skiers and riders will gather at the Sitting Bull Lounge, from 3 to 6 p.m. for the Magic Hat Apres Ski Party. Then at 7:30 p.m., Okemo gets the party started with its annual Season Passholders Party in the Okemo Great Room.
