NEWRY, Maine — Female snowboarders have the opportunity to learn from some of the best instructors in the industry at the Roxy Snowboard Camp, which will be held at Sunday River on March 3.

The camp provides women and girls over age 13 the opportunity to develop their skills in a comfortable atmosphere with female instructors. Roxy, which manufactures women’s clothing and gear for snowboarding, skiing, surfing, and other adventure sports, will also give out goodie bags and prizes to participants.

“Learning to ski and ride depends on how well the teacher can relate to the student. Roxy Snowboard Camp has taken that concept and developed a specialized clinic that puts knowledgeable female instructors with groups of female learners,” explained Deb Costello, office manager of Sunday River’s Perfect Turn Ski and Snowboard School.

The cost of the camp is $95, which includes lunch. Lift tickets and lodging should be purchased separately. Interested guests may call (207) 824-5080 for more information and registration.
