Saddleback Updates – Ride & Ski, Maine Day on Feb. 5th, and More!

We have had 23 inches of snow in January (including 3 inches last night), combined with snowmaking, it has given us the best snow conditions in Maine. The Kennebago Quad to the summit is open. True packed powder and powder surfaces.

The ride down America and Tricolor is incredible, the view just makes it better. Head up to the glades. Nightmare, Thrombosis, Dark Wizard and Intimidator are open.

Saddleback Welcomes Ride and Ski
New England
On Saturday, January 2, Ride and Ski New England is hosting an apres ski party in the Swig N’ Smelt Pub. Live music will be provided by Shepherd Pie, Harpoon Ale will have specials and there are lots of give aways. Head to the Pub after the slopes.

Geary’s Brewing, Sebago Brewing and Pine State Wines Host Hospitality Industry Worker’s Day
On Monday, January 30, Saddleback invites all those hard working people who are employed in the Hospitality Industry to a day of free skiing and riding. Bring a letter from your employer or your pay stub as proof of employment and ski for free. Geary’s and Sebago will have beer specials in the Pub. Pine State Wines will be hosting a Wine Trade Show and Tasting from 3-5pm. Maine Tourism will be here handing out hot chocolate and coffee vouchers. This will be a great day to play on the mountain.

Next $29 Maine Day Sunday, Feb. 5th
As part of Saddleback’s commitment to affordability we will be offering our $29 Maine Day lift tickets to Maine residents. Maine Days are scheduled for Sunday,
February 5th; Sunday, March 4th; Sunday, April 1st; and Sunday, May 6th (weather permitting). Proof of full time residency is required. Acceptable proof is a Maine driver’s license, auto registration, or voter registration.

Friday Night Lights Rail Jam, January 20
Friday Night Lights Rail Jams are scheduled for January 20th, February 24th and March 16th. This is a free event with lights, music and the fire pit blazing. The event on February 24th will be for points as part of the 5th Annual Park Shark Challenge. This year the Park Shark Challenge is a three phase event, including the Rail Jam on Friday, February 24, an Air competition on Sunday, March 11th and the final Slopestyle event on Sunday, April 1st.

Snowmaking In Progress
Saddleback snowmakers have headed up the mountain to Supervisor. The Kennebago Quad to the summit and the T-Bar are open for the season.

Wednesday is Bring a Friend Day
On Wednesdays (excluding Feb. 22), purchase a $49 lift ticket and a friend’s ticket is just $10. This a great way to introduce your friends to Saddleback. Midweek skiing and riding at Saddleback is prime time with fresh tracks to be had all over the mountain.
