Salute Summer with Waterville Valley’s Memorial Day Weekend Package

WATERVILLE VALLEY, New Hampshire — Memorial Day Weekend is the unofficial start to summer and Waterville Valley, New Hampshire serves up a 3-day package that kicks it off just right. The “Salute to Summer??? unlimited package features lodging Friday through Sunday night at the Golden Eagle Lodge, Black Bear Lodge, Village Condominium, Snowy Owl Inn or Town Square Condominiums with a whole list of recreation included. On that list is unlimited use of the 18 clay tennis courts, 2 hours of mountain biking per day, 9 holes of golf per day, unlimited access to the White Mountain Athletic Club, 1 hour of pedal boats, kayaks or canoes per day and a ride on the Snow’s Mountain chairlift. Prices for the holiday weekend package range from $47 per person, per night, for a double occupancy room at the Snowy Owl Inn to resort condominiums like the Black Bear, Golden Eagle and Town Square that start at $100 per unit, per night, sleeping four to six people (3 night minimum stay on all packages).

Salute to Summer events happen all weekend at the resort’s Town Square. On Saturday night enjoy an outdoor concert by Smoken from 6-9 pm. The Margret and H.A. Rey Center host the staff from Christa McAuliffe Planetarium for an evening of astronomy from 8-10 pm. On Sunday, May 27, bring your appetite to the 9th Annual Chili Challenge, starting at noon . There will be a small fee for chili sampling and then you can vote for your favorite. Entertainment is provided by Ricky & The Giants in concert from 12 Noon to 3 pm, and Juggling Jim at 3 pm.

Memorial Day Weekend also means additional resort activities will be open for the summer including skateboarding in the WV Skateboard Park and championship golf at nearby Owl’s Nest 18-hole golf course.
