Henniker, NH, December 23, 2011 — Pats Peak, New Hampshire’s premier family snowsports destination, is open for skiing and riding. Thanks to the hard work of the groomers and snowmakers Pats Peak is currently open with 13 trails and slopes (60% of the mountain) with more scheduled to open shortly. Turbulence Terrain Park is also open with more features being added as snowmaking continues. The Snowtubing Park will be open daily during the holiday week.

Snowmaking will continue throughout the holiday week. The grooming fleet is out on the mountain each and every night to give skiers and riders the best conditions daily.

Combine all the great benefits of “POP”, Pay One Price, for skiing, snowboarding, snowtubing, rentals and lesson tips with the celebration of New Year’s Eve with a live band, comedian, party favors and fireworks to make one great time! The slopes are open until 10pm and the fireworks will be at 10:30pm. Then come inside to the Sled Pub to warm up and ring in the New Year. (Our traditional NYE Party will return December 31, 2012.)

Saturday Night POP, Pay-One-Price, starting on January 7, 2012 – Only $43
Includes skiing, snowboarding, snowtubing, rentals, lesson tips and entertainment. Saturday Night POP runs from January 7, 2012 to End of Season 2012. Ski or Ride on a Saturday Night from 3 pm to 10 pm for only $43. Tubing hours are from 5 pm to 10 pm. Lesson Tips are from 4 pm to 6 pm in the Beginners Area.

The POP ticket is the only lift ticket available on Saturday nights. Rentals available on a first-come, first-served basis. Rentals for children 5 and under during POP is $24.

Lessons & Packages
The Pats Peak Snowsports School offers lesson programs for all ages and abilities. Programs offer personal attention, safety, and instruction. The Pats Peak Ski and Snowboard School bases its instruction on the American Teaching System, a method used by the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) and the American Association of Snowboard Instructors (AASI). This method is proven program for developing and refining skills. Experienced and certified staff provides instruction for skiers and riders of all ages and abilities. New this season, Pats Peak is now a Burton Learn To Ride (LTR) Center with LTR Boards designed to accelerate learning to snowboard by utilizing beginner-specific equipment.

The Starter Special is for the first time skier or snowboarder ages 6 and up and includes beginner group lesson, rental equipment, and full day lower mountain lift ticket (8:30am-4pm). This is the package that enters you in the Pats Peak Passport Program, an Award Winning, All Inclusive, program, designed for Beginners. This is a four day program where you purchase the Passport Package on three separate days and then on the fourth day purchase a Lift & Rental Package to get a Pats Peak unlimited season pass and free daily use of rental equipment for the rest of the season! Plus, you’re eligible for half price group lessons. No reservations are necessary for the Starter Special. The Starter Special is available every half hour starting at 9am until 2pm on weekends and holidays (available 10am; 11:30am; 1:30pm midweek and during February MA and NH Vacation Weeks).

The Skier’s/Snowboarder’s Package includes a group lesson (10:00am, 11:30am and 1:30pm), rental equipment and all lifts, full day lift ticket (8:30am-4pm). The Lift & Lesson Package includes a group lesson (10:00 am, 11:30am and 1:30pm) and all lifts, full day lift ticket (8:30am-4pm). Reservations are not necessary for Lift & Lesson Packages. The Lift & Rental Package includes all lifts, full day lift ticket and rental equipment.

Group Lessons are 1 to 1-1/2 hours in duration for ages 6 & up, offered daily at 10:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 1:30 p.m. Reservations are not necessary for group lessons. Private lessons are for one hour and require an appointment. Private Lessons are available for all ages and all abilities for skiing, snowboarding and telemark skiing. All-day, half-day & video analysis also available by appointment.

Kids’ Programs
Cub’s Club (ages 3-5) and Bear’s Club (ages 6-14) full-day and half-day programs are available on weekends and holiday periods. Cub’s Club is child care with outdoor play and an introduction to skiing for children ages 3-5 years old. Lessons leave promptly at 9:30am for the morning session and 1pm for the afternoon session. Through this program children can learn and discover at their own speed. Bear’s Club students meet their instructors at the Bear’s Den. Lessons leave promptly at 9:30am for the morning session and 1pm for the afternoon session. Parents pick up their children at 3:30pm. Space is limited. A 3-Day School Vacation Camp, Mon-Wed Dec. 26-28, is available during Christmas Vacation Week for ages 6 to 13, all abilities. School Vacation Camps are a great time for kids to come out, spend some time on the slopes, have fun with other kids and enjoy some great winter exercise. Camps are 6 hours per day, 9:30am to 3:30pm and include Lunch. The deadline has been extended for last minute signs ups. Seasonal Kids Programs for ages 3-14 years old starts December 26th (1/2 day starting at 1pm) and meet on weekends, holidays and vacation periods from 9:30am to 3:30pm with an hour break for lunch.
