Stowe Mountain Resort to Open for the 2004-2005 winter season on Friday, November 19

STOWE, VT ??” Stowe Mountain Resort will open for the 2004-2005 winter season on Friday, November 19 at 8am. Stowe’s initial snowmaking efforts have focused on the Lord and North Slope trails. Once open, guests are asked to refer to the daily snow report via www.stowe.com or the Snow Phone, 253-3600, for the latest update on trail openings and conditions. Additional terrain will be opened ASAP.

An adult 1-day lift ticket will cost $45 and Stowe plans to operate the Four-Runner Quad on opening day. The Mansfield Base Lodge willl be open for tickets, rent & repair, retail, and food & beverage. The Octagon Web Cafe will have limited food and beverage service.

Stowe Mountain Resort had an incredibly busy summer construction season that included two new lifts and a new trail??”a high-speed quad to replace the Little Spruce double chair and a triple chair serving the new Inspiration trail designed specifically for beginning skiers & riders. Snowmaking capacity was increased by over 40 percent. The first stage of the revitalization of the resort saw construction started on the first slopeside Mountain Cabins and a Bob Cupp-designed golf course.
