STOWE, Vermont ??” After nine extremely successful days of snowmaking that started on Jan. 3, the mountain operations crew has stockpiled mounds of snow on at least 15 trails around the mountain. When the lifts close on Friday afternoon a full-scale resurfacing operation will take place around the clock through Saturday. Grooming will be the key, as harvested snow will be used to groom and re-groom trails two to three times each.

Weather forecasts for the upcoming holiday weekend include snow each day Saturday through Monday with temperatures in the twenties.

Next week snowmaking will continue on Tyro (Terrain Park), North Slope (Halfpipe), Perry Merrill, Gondolier, and Hayride.
