TANNERSVILLE, PA ??” Camelback Ski Area and Subaru of America announce that the National Subaru “Master the Mountain” event will visit Camelback Ski Area on Saturday and Sunday, January 22-23, 2005. The weekend event features a great lineup of guest-oriented events, including the ability to receive complimentary ski & snowboard tips, mini-lessons, on-mountain tours and to view the entire lineup of 2005 Subaru vehicles.

While Subaru is the offical vehicle of Camelback Ski Area, the automaker is also a key sponsor of the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) and National Ski Patrol. The “Master the Mountain” event is designed to highlight Camelback’s professional staff of PSIA instructors and members of the National Ski Patrol by conducting programs that will help skiers and riders strengthen their technique and learn more about the skier responsibility code.

Guests skiing at Camelback can sign up for a limited number of complimentary “mini-lessons” at the Subaru tent in the base area. Both ski and snowboard lessons will be available at 10:00am, 11:30am, 1:00pm and 2:30pm Saturday and Sunday. The mini-lessons are designed to offer suggestions on technique for those advanced novice or higher in ability level. Additionally, a Subaru “Learning Lane” will be set up on the Meadows trail, allowing skiers and snowboarders to ski through and receive quick suggestions on improving technique.

At 10:30am on both Saturday and Sunday, members of Camelback’s Ski and Ranger Patrols will be available at the Subaru tent to conduct “Meet the Mountain” tours. Guests will have the opportunity to take a few runs with the patrollers and learn more about the vital role of the Ski Patrol and Ranger Patrol at Camelback.

Representatives from Subaru will be on hand to meet and greet guests. The complete 2005 lineup of Subaru vehicles will also be displayed in the Camelback base area. In addition, a limited number of VIP parking spaces will be reserved for the first guests to arrive in Subaru vehicles.

“Camelback is excited about our partnership with Subaru and is looking forward to bringing this top-notch event to our guests,” commented Director of Sales & Marketing Dave Kulis, adding, “Subaru stands out as a great partner not only to Camelback, but to the National Ski Patrol and Professional Ski Instructors of America.”
