NEWRY, Maine ??” Sunday River’s Bud Light Concert Series is heading into February with two marquis acts spanning a range of musical genres, including contemporary funksters Medeski Martin & Wood on Saturday, Feb. 25 and the classic rock sounds of Eddie Money on Saturday, Feb. 18.

The nightlife scene continues to grow at Sunday River as live entertainment can be found nightly along the length of the Sunday River Road. On weekends, Thumpers Nightclub in the White Cap Lodge hosts the Bud Light Concert Series, which brings well known big-city acts to area. While The Wailers’ reggae show in January was a sold-out crowd-pleaser for the resort’s College Week guests, February’s headlining events are expected to be popular with fans of classic rock, free jazz or live music in general.

By the mid-1970s he had become popular to audiences across the country and since that time has released over 20 albums, performing around 150 shows every year. Fans of Money’s multiple hits like “Two Tickets to Paradise” and “Take Me Home Tonight” know him as one of the hardest working men in Rock and Roll. Medeski Martin and Wood (MMW), a part of the “jam band” scene in music consists of John Medeski on keyboard, Billy Martin on drums and percussions, and Chris Wood on bass. The group first got together in 1991 forming as an improvisational music trio in the early 90s, playing jazz-inspired music in and around New York City.
