Waterville Valley Celebrates Summer with Bluegrass Festival on July 22

WATERVILLE VALLEY, New Hampshire ??” Waterville Valley’s Town Square celebrates summer on Saturday, July 22, with the annual Bluegrass Festival. Festivities begin at noon with music, food, tent sales, games, face paintings, the Traveling Barnyard and ending the night with a spectacular fireworks display over Corcoran’s Pond at 9 p.m.

The Parker Hill Road Band kicks off the music in the Town Square Gazebo stage from 12 – 1 p.m. and again from 5 – 6 p.m. Bow Junction (1 – 2 p.m. and 6 – 7 p.m.), Pine Hill Ramblers (2 – 3 p.m. and 7 – 8 p.m.) and Monadnock (3 – 4 p.m. and 8 – 9 p.m.) will follow. Admission to the Bluegrass Festival is $8 in advance and $10 the day of the event for adults, teens (ages 13-17) $4 in advance and $5 at the gate and kids (12 & under) are free! Adult admission includes a raffle ticket for prize drawing on Saturday night. Prizes include Gift certificates for Town Square businesses, Lodging packages, Golf, Chairlift Rides, and more! Various Town Square restaurants will also offer food throughout the day for an additional fee.

In addition to the good ol’ sound of bluegrass music and tasty food, Waterville Valley offers an assortment of family activities. For a fee, guests can enjoy boating on Corcoran’s Pond, mountain biking on miles of maintained trails and lift access on Snows Mountain, the Waterville Valley Skate Park, Golfing on the nine-hole course, working out or swimming at the White Mountain Athletic Club or ice skating in the Waterville Valley Skating Rink. As Town Square is in the heart of the Valley, all activities are within a very short walking distance. Of course shopping is another favorite for families at the numerous shops and restaurants of Town Square.

The Festival is held outdoors, rain or shine, and lawn chairs & blankets are welcome.
