NORTH CREEK, New York ??” Daughters 19 and under will ski, ride, snowshoe, and tube free at Gore Mountain with a full paying parent from January 24-30. Season passholders are welcome to participate in the special offer.

Parents and daughters are encouraged to compete in the Family Fun Dual Slalom on January 30, where best combined times will earn excellent prizes from WPYX and Beaver Brook Outfitters. All teams will receive an award certificate. The event will be on the “Twin Fawns” NASTAR course at 11am, with registration taking place for $5 per team from 8:30am-11am at the Information Desk in the Main Lodge.

The goal of “Take Your Daughter to Gore Week” is to encourage women to participate in winter sports, with a focus on family activities. Winter sports include alpine, telemark, and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, tubing, and snowshoeing, all activities offered at Gore Mountain.

Sons can enjoy the same promotion (with ice cream!) on Son Day Sundae Sunday March 13.

Following “Take Your Daughter to Gore Week,” a “For Women Only” ski clinic on February 5-6 will provide adult women an outstanding way to build skill and confidence in a non-competitive environment, while making friends on the snow. The clinic will be taught by Gore Mountain’s most dynamic female coaches, including BJ Prior, who was recently voted one of SKI Magazine’s Top 100 Instructors. The weekend includes two full days of specialized coaching, video analysis, lift tickets, and breakfasts and lunches for $199, or $149 for season passholders. Those interested can call (518) 251-2411, X144 for information and reservations.
