NORTH CONWAY—Snow sports specialist Joe Jones’ Sun & Ski Sports announced today that its North Conway store will be reopening on Friday, November 23rd (“Black Friday”) after a fire that caused minor damage to the store and $1 million worth of apparel and accessories. To kick off its reopening, Joe Jones will be holding a “Fire Sale,” offering significant discounts of 40% to 70% on all merchandise in the store, much of which was affected by minor smoke damage.

Joe Jones’ entire stock ($1 million) of apparel and accessories will be offered at 40% off its original price. The sale includes clearance items, which will be sold at up to 70% off their original prices. Equipment, while experiencing little or no damage, will be on sale as well, with savings of up to 40% off original prices.

Joe Jones’ Sun & Ski North Conway was closed on October 25th after a suspicious fire caused more than $200,000 worth of damage to the store. No one was injured in the fire, but there was significant water and electrical damage. The store has since been repaired.

Joe Jones’ Sun & Ski North Conway is one of four Sun & Ski stores in New England, including stores in Pembroke, Mass., Avon, Conn., and the newest store in Woburn, Mass. Sun & Ski was named one of eight regional “Ski Retailers of the Year” by Ski Industry Association of America for the 2011/2012 ski season.
