TANNERSVILLE, PA – The temperatures have dropped and the hum is in the air. That hum is the snowmaking team at Camelback Mountain Resort firing up the snow guns to start covering the mountain with amazing snow to kick off the 2012-2013 Season. Snowmaking operations will begin early Saturday evening, November 24, 2012!

Every position in a company plays an important role-from the stock room manager to the vice president of finance, but at a ski resort, if there is no snow, there is no business. So, what really makes a snowmaker? Bill Toye, Vice-President of Mountain Operations, Camelback Mountain Resort gives us an idea. “A snowmaker is someone that loves the outdoors, is resilient, quick on their feet and is looking for a fun, but challenging job. They have to balance the science of the snowmaking with the art of creating consistent, first-rate skiing and riding conditions that Camelback is known for in the East.”

“We’re ready to kick off our 49th winter season, but there are still job openings on our snowmaking team, as well as almost every other department.” said Sherry Rex, Vice-President of Human Resources, Camelback Mountain Resort. Rex continued, “We have full-time and seasonal positions with free skiing and snowboarding for the employees, food and retail discounts and even perks for their friends and families. Everything is listed on skicamelback.com at the bottom of the page under cool jobs.”
