Moguls at LoonLincoln, NH (June 24) – Loon Mountain Resort is excited to announce a full day of free activities to complement the 3rd Annual Monster Mud Run on July 13, including a Life is good® Village, Mini Monsters run for kids, and nighttime concert.

Life is good Village

This year, Loon is partnering with Life is good to bring the Life is good Village to racers and their families. Set up in the race start/finish area, the village will include larger-than-life games such as tug of war, beanbag toss, and Tumbling Towers. The village will also include a Life is good wall for spectators to write encouraging messages, plus snacks from companies like GoGoSqueeZ, UNREAL Candy, and ZICO Coconut Water.

Also new this year, a Mini Monsters run will give kids 13 and under a chance to strut their stuff. The Mini Monsters run is a miniature version of the adult course, with plenty of fun obstacles and hardly any mud. While the Mini Monsters run is free, donations to the Life is good Kids Foundation are welcomed. Adult runners will also have the option of donating to the Life is good Kids Foundation when they register for the Monster Mud Run. Donations will help kids grow up feeling safe, loved and joyful. The Monster Mud Run: Muddier Than Ever

While the Life is good Village will elevate the game for spectators, the Monster Mud Run itself will operate at a whole new level this year. We’re expecting the muddiest, most fun race we’ve ever had, with classic obstacles like the Horse Barn Hurdles and Snowmaker’s Boot Camp, plus new features like Babe’s Bath and the Stairway to Hell.

Sign up for the race by July 1 to save on registration at www.loonmtn.com/monstermudrun or by calling 1-800-229-LOON.

New this year, competitors who film their race and edit the footage can enter the Monster Mud Run Video Contest. Racers who submit their edits to social@loonmtn.com by 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29 will be entered to win a new GoPro HERO3 Silver Edition.

Post-Race Concert and Monster Lodging Deal

Once the race is over and the mud washes off, racers can enjoy a high-energy concert featuring the rap/roots/reggae band Eight Feet Tall. This free, 21+ concert starts at 8:30 p.m. in Loon’s legendary Paul Bunyan Room.

After the concert, racers can spend the night just steps away at the Mountain Club on Loon. For a limited time only, the Mountain Club on Loon is offering $99 club rooms to racers, along with a $30 food voucher to the Black Diamond Bar and Grille. This offer expires June 30. Racers can call 1-800-229-7829 to book their room, and should mention the “Monster Mud Run” to get their discount. Based on availability.

The Viaggio Spa will also offer racers a 40% discount on sports massages and 30% discount on Dead Sea Mud Wraps. Racers can call 1-800-229-7829 and mention “Monster Mud Run” for these specials, which are based on availability.
