Mount Snow Powder Day

West Dover, VT (Feb. 9, 2013) – The highest snow totals from snow storm “Nemo” may be in places where it is not necessarily welcome, but Mount Snow Resort in southern Vermont woke up to 15”-17” of new snow this morning and welcomed it with open arms. The resort had packed parking lots on Friday with skiers and snowboarders getting up to the mountain before travel became hazardous, or prohibited in some states, as the storm started to get going.

Mount Snow had 45 trails covering about 300 skiable acres open on Thursday, but thanks to the fresh snow from Nemo the resort is now nearly 100% open with 79 out of 80 trails covering 578 out of 588 skiable acres. The only trail that is closed today is Inferno, which is the extra-large feature terrain park, because crews are in there building the park for the first time this season with completion expected in the next few days.
