TANNERSVILLE, PA –Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark just closed for the season on Monday, September 3rd with a record year, but not without keeping the community in mind. Over the past year, Camelback Mountain Resort, which includes skiing, snowtubing, an adventure park and waterpark, has donated over $135,000 to large and small organizations, schools, churches and fundraisers.

Since the summer of 2009, Camelbeach has held an event known as The Big Give, and this year was the most successful year to date. The Big Give 2012 included the following charities: Cystic Fibrosis, United Way of Monroe County, Hope for Hannah, Mt. Gilead and Prevent Child Abuse PA. Each charity was assigned a promotional code to use at camelbeach.com to sell discounted tickets and for each ticket sold using the code, fifty percent was donated directly to the charity. In August, Camelbeach hosted each of the charities and had a yellow duck race in the Blue Nile Adventure River, Camelback’s lazy river that stretches nearly a quarter mile. The duck races gave each of the charities to raise even more money. The Big Give 2012 donated over $63,000 to the above charities.
